Peninah is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Commissioner of Oaths and Certified Secretary (CS). She is the Senior Associate in the Covenyancing and Commercial Department with over 6 years of experience post admission.

She specialises in securities, financial services law, real estate and conveyancing law, project financing, intellectial property law, corporate law and commercial law.

Prior to joining the firm, she has worked as a Company Secretarial Assistant and Equatorial Secretaries and Registrars (PKF Kenya) and as a legal intern at Equity Bank (K) Limited.

  1. Oversees over 10+ real estate projects, representing developers in joint venture arrangements, land acquisition, apartment sales, change of land use, title conversions, sale agreement preparation, lease/transfer processes, registration formalities, establishment of management entities, reversionary interest transfers, and communication with purchasers' advocates, providing legal advice.
  2. Acting for diverse private clients in relation to the negotiation, drafting and execution of commercial agreements including asset and share purchase agreements, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions.
  3.   4. Advises and acts on behalf of various individuals and companies including incorporating companies, restructuring of companies, preparing and filing annual returns, allotment and transfer of shares, changes in directorships and shareholdings among other company secretarial services.
  5. Preparation, filing and registration of various Intellectual Properties such as Copyrights, Trademarks, Patents, Utility Models and Industrial designs; prosecuting claims in instances of breach of Intellectual Property Rights as well preparing advisory opinions on the registration, infringement and enforcement.
  6. Carrying out legal research and preparing legal opinions on various aspects of corporate and commercial law.
